After demise of wife Laxmi, Uppari Sekhar (32) had been living with Bujjamma at Manik Prabhu Mohalla colony. Satyamma, a close relative of Bujjamma also living in the same house. Sekhar developed an illicit love affair with Satyamma also. He used to beat them up daily after consuming alcohol. Unable to bear the torture by him, both decided to eliminate him. Bujjamma and Satyamma strangulated him with a sari on October 3 and projected his death as a suicide. The police, during investigation, came across evidence and arrested the two women on the charge of murder.
