Gang of five kidnappers arrested

Warangal: The Hanamkonda police arrested a gang of five kidnappers who were abducting children below three years of age. Hanamkonda DSP Shoban Kumar on Tuesday produced the accused before the media. The accused were identified as Gangulu, Paramdhamulu, Mahipal and Chinnaiah of Karimnagar district and Ashok of Bhadrachalam in Khammam district. Four children who were in the custody of the kidnappers were freed by the police. One of them was handed over to parents and three others were handed over to the district child welfare committee, the DSP informed. The police carried out the probe following the kidnap of a child in Hanamkonda on October 1, 2014. On completing the probe, the police caught the kidnap gang and found the child along with three others in their custody. The identity of the other three children was yet to be ascertained.
