Two girls burnt alive
Two girl children were burnt alive in a freak accident when a hut in which they were sleeping was completely gutted on Tuesday evening. The incident took place in Abyudhaya Nagar of Bandlaguda.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Renuka, 6, and Vasantha, 3, daughters of Yellaiah, 35 and Alivelumanga, 32, both natives of Mahabubnagar and working as labourers. On Tuesday night, when the children were asleep with their mother, suddenly a fire broke out and the mother escaped leaving behind the children in the hut. The woman alleged that her husband put the hut on fire while they were asleep. .
However, the husband refuted saying that mosquito coil could have triggered the fire. Police took the husband into custody and started the investigation.
