Tipper rams into 14 vehicles; none hurt
A speeding tipper lost control near the Wipro junction in Gachibowli and rammed into 14 vehicles, which were waiting at the traffic signal on Tuesday night.
Hyderabad: A speeding tipper lost control near the Wipro junction in Gachibowli and rammed into 14 vehicles, which were waiting at the traffic signal on Tuesday night. According to police, five vehicles were completely damaged by the impact. However, no one was injured in the accident.
According to police, the cars which were waiting for signal were rammed by the speeding tipper from rear. After hitting the cars the driver, who could not control the vehicle later hit the wall of Wipro.
Seeing the damage that has been caused, the driver fled the spot. The Madhapur police, which arrived at the incident site, cleared the traffic jam and registered a case against the driver before taking up investigation.
With construction activity on the higher side in the area, the tipper movement on this stretch is a routine phenomenon. These heavy vehicles carry huge blocks of granite from the construction areas.
The tipper was allegedly working for the My Home Vihanga, which is being constructed close to the Wipro Junction. Accidents involving tippers and other vehicles were reported close to the Cyberabad police Commissionerate in the recent months.
