Hyderabad: The suspected ISIS recruit and US returnee, Salman Mohiuddin, whose 10-day custody was obtained by Cyberabad police had 2,500 members for his 'Daula Newsroom'. According official sources interrogating him over his alleged plans to join the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), Salman started a Facebook page under the name 'Hadith' in 2012, while he was living in USA.

The members included his wife Maimuna and alleged girl friend Ayesha alias Nicky Joseph, who also acted as ‘Administrators’. Salman, who failed to get his Visa extension in USA, returned to India in October, 2014. During his stay, he started 'Daula News Room' and 'Moderates Vs Liberals' pages on Facebook in the month of November. Again his wife and alleged girl friend acted as ‘Administrators’ to these pages.

It attracted about 2,500 persons who regularly debated on global politics. Salman was picked up at the Shamshabad Airport by the authorities, while he was leaving for Dubai on January 16, from where he was allegedly going to Syria to join the ISIS. He was allegedly in communication with a person named Abu al Barra al Sami from Syria and Abu Mohammed from Turkey, before he was leaving the country. The Court has granted 10 days of his custody to Shamshabad police for further investigation into the case.
