Assam: 12 kgs RDX recovered from militants

Guwahati: Security forces apprehended two hardcore militants of NDFB(S) and recovered 12 kgs RDX preventing major mishaps in Assam's Chirang district on Thursday, officials said.

Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that, following a tip-off, army Red Horn division and Assam police had jointly launched operation at a remote area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.

The nabbed militants were identified as Lwmsao Narzary and Sistu Basumutary and security forces recovered 12 kgs RDX in possession from them.

On Feb 4, security forces nabbed three cadres of the outfit group and seizing huge cache of arms and ammunition.
