Vemulawada: The Excise Department Task Force officials on Wednesday conducted raids in Vemulwada and Nampalli and seized ganja and liquor worth Rs 1.10 lakh. Jagithyala Excise Assistant Superintendent Vijay Kumar said the Task officials conducted raids and unearthed the racket. During this raid the officials seized nearly 100 liquor bottles, worth Rs 10,000 and 10.5 kg of ganja packets, a bag of ganja and ganja seeds worth Rs 1 lakh and also 30 litres of illicit liquor packets and a two wheeler. The Assistant Superintendent complimented constable Sampath for his alertness in unearthing the racket. Task Force Circle Inspector Chandra Shekar, ASI Lakshman, Ashok, Naresh and Sammaiah conducted the raids.
