Auto driver murdered
A 25-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Md Shakeel, was murdered by a four-member gang near Chandrayanagutta bridge late on Wednesday night. The police have launched a hunt to nab Haji Jabri, Mateem Jabri, Zuber Jabri and Moin in this connection.

An official said four days ago, Shakeel had got into an altercation with Haji Jabri’s son Rahman over some money which took a nasty turn and the former allegedly hit Rahman. “The assailants on Wednesday night came prepared with weapons to take revenge. They called Shakeel to a lonely place in Chandrayanagutta area on the pretext of having liquor attacked him with sickles,” the cops said.
The assailants then fled the scene leaving him dead on the spot, cops added. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 302 of the IPC.
