Hyderabad: Four-month-old Mahesh, who was kidnapped on July 6 from the footpath near Dabeerpura Flyover Bridge, was reunited with his parents on Tuesday following the arrest of three persons, including two GHMC contract workers. The accused were identified as Domalapally Bhagya, 35, and Ballari Ramulu, 39, both GHMC contract workers and residents of Uppuguda and M Narsimha, 40, of Rajendranagar, a security guard. Bhagya managed to kidnap the child while he was sleeping on the footpath at Dabeerpura on July 6.

Though the incident occurred on July 6, a complaint under Section 363 of the IPC was lodged by the child’s parents, Manjulatha and Sachin, both native of Karnataka state, on July 10, the police said. During investigation they secured CCTV footage and on verification and arrested Bhagya and rescued the child from Narsimha’s house.

Bhagya along with Ramulu hatched a plan to kidnap the child as Narsimha and his wife were issueless. Bhagya had been keeping an eye on the child for quite some time and managed to kidnap on the intervening night of July 5 and July 6, Additional DCP (South) K Babu Rao said.
