Man killed by monkeys

Bhupalpally (Warangal): In a horrific incident, a 65-year-old man was killed by troupe of monkeys at Ghanpuram, Mulug mandal headquarters.

The deceased was identified as Narla Sammaiah Goud. The incident occurred when he tried to chase away a troupe of monkeys, numbering between 30 and 40, when they entered his house. The monkeys, which went berserk, leapt on him and inflicted bleeding injuries. Goud became unconscious.

The neighbours, who witnessed the incident, came to his rescue and shifted him to local government hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The villagers accused the officials of the Gram Panchayats for failing to take steps to trap the monkeys.
