3 coal mine workers killed, four injured as roof caves in

Three workers of the mining company of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) were crushed to death and four others were injured in Shantikhani village of Bellampalli mandal in the district on Wednesday when the roof the coal mine collapsed and fell on them.

They were working on the junction-! level of the coal mine when the mishap occurred. Among those killed include Hanmanth Rao, Poshaiah and Kistaiah. The injured were admitted in a hospital. The rescue teams were pressed into services to bring the bodes out.
