Three nabbed for smuggling Ganja

Nizamabad: During a special vehicle checking drive, police intercepted a Honda city car coming from Bodhan on late Thursday night at Jannepalli T Road.

While they were trying to escape, the police party chased them and caught the accused, Raj Kumar, Vijay Pal and J Shankar while the driver Amit Singh escaped. On credibleinformation, the police conducted the search operation of vehicles.

They were involved in the smuggling of Ganja from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi.

The police also seized two dry quintals of ganja, one Honda City ZX car, four mobile phones and cash worth Rs 1,80,000.
The Superintendent of Police, here on Friday, said that the three accused would be produced in a court seeking their remand.
