Bhadrachalam: The investigation officer, who is probing the missing jewellery case of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple, has issued notices to 13 Vaidic staff to testify before him on October 15, 17 and 18.

It may be mentioned here that gold jewellery - mangalasutram of Sitamma and locket of Sri Laxmana Swamy - went missing from the temple locker on August 19. However, the jewellery was found on August 27 under suspicious circumstances.

After a hue and cry raised by the temple staff, the executive officer T Ramesh Babu appointed temple engineering department Deputy Executive Engineer V Ravindranath as the investigation officer to probe the issue.

In this connection, Ravindranath on Thursday issued notices to 13 Vaidic staff, who were on the duty on the day of jewellery went missing, to attend before him.

It’s learnt that temple authority is keen to complete the probe and submit the report to the Endowment Commissioner Shivashankar in the first week of November.
