The Secretary of Board of Intermediate Education has made it clear that the environmental education examination is mandatory for all junior inter students who will be taking their annual exams this year. The environmental exam will be conducted on January 31 from 10 am to 1 pm in their respective colleges, Ramshankar Naik, Secretary of the Board announced in Hyderabad.
With this, the Intermediate exams would formally take off for the present academic year, although all the key theory examinations would be held from March 12 onwards.
“All the first year regular, attendance exempted candidates and also the private backlog candidates from 2007 onwards have to appear and pass the examination to get their pass certificate. The candidates should be allowed to write the environmental education examination even if their name is not reflected in the college nominal roll. Such candidates are allowed to write the exam with their previous hall ticket number,” the Secretary has stated clearly.
The practical examinations are scheduled from February 12 to March 4 and the practical syllabus in the general courses has been revised from this academic year. However the backlog and improvement category students can appear for the practical examination with old syllabus.
From this year onwards the Board will send the computerised question paper in 19 non-paramedical vocational courses for equal justification to the students of all colleges.
The Board has also revised the syllabus of Senior Intermediate subjects this year paving the way for the state students to compete with those of CBSE syllabus. The prospect of change of dates for the theory exams has still been there once the poll schedule is out, according to senior officials of the Board.
