How to get inspired?

The human mind has a funny way of shooting itself in the foot. Just when you need to come up with an inspirational idea or a solution to a thorny problem, it has a nasty habit of over-thinking, locking itself into an endless loop and destroying any hope of a breakthrough.
The human mind has a funny way of shooting itself in the foot. Just when you need to come up with an inspirational idea or a solution to a thorny problem, it has a nasty habit of over-thinking, locking itself into an endless loop and destroying any hope of a breakthrough.
You simply have to break the loop. Change things up. A simple change of place, process, players or perspective usually does the trick. If you are unable to break the loop then here are some things which will help you in getting inspired.
Shut the computer
When you need inspiration and your mind is completely filled with a lot of things; simply shut the computer and go for a walk or gardening or long drive. When you are doing something completely unrelated to your work then your mind gives you a brilliant idea which you can use.
End the meeting
When you’re in a meeting intended to brainstorm or problem-solve, don’t be surprised if the winning idea or ideal solution comes up after the meeting is over. Sometimes long after, when different people are around, or when some seemingly random event triggers an answer to a question you’ve been subconsciously pondering for weeks.
Planes and automobiles
There’s something about a quiet conversation while moving that brings out epiphanies. Most of the professionals come up with great business strategies while taking a walk with the boss or travelling with a colleague or having lunch with your team mate.
Quit being logical
The part of your brain responsible for creative ideas is not the same as the one responsible for reasoning. Inspiration is not logical, nor is it task-oriented. Most people have a much easier time accessing that part of their mind when they’re relaxed, tired, engaged in some mindless task or casually bouncing ideas around with someone in an unusual but safe surrounding.
Give up and zone out
There are many instances in our day to day lives that we need an idea but it never pops out; but when you decided to quit and start doing something else it pops up eventually.
Be alone with yourself
Meditation is another great practice which will help you in calming your brain. Meditate regularly to keep yourself focused. If you are new to meditation and cannot make time for it, try being alone for a while or try practicing mindfulness which will help you for sure.
