Fear to succeed and success from fear –HR message from animal world
The life of every living being on earth including man revolves exclusively around the management principle of ‘fear, ‘profit’ and ‘how to profit from fear’.
The life of every living being on earth including man revolves exclusively around the management principle of ‘fear, ‘profit’ and ‘how to profit from fear’.
Naturally all prey animals are scared of their predators. By birth the ‘instinct of fear’ is deeply engraved in them and such fear is needed for their survival. The entire adaptation and evolution itself has happened only by keeping the fear at the centre. Only because of the fear, most of the prey animals like deer, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo etc., live as herd. They gain ‘profit’ from being part of a big herd.
On the other hand, the predators boldly and bravely hunt the prey animals only because of the ‘fear’ i.e. the fear of the prey animals. If the prey animal ever retaliates, the predators cannot go close to its prey so easily. Survival of the predatory animals in general lies in the philosophy of ‘how to profit from the fear’ i.e. the fear of the prey animals.
Imagine, fear and profit are the only triggering forces of all life forms. To profit, the prey animals prefers to live in group as the fear of predation threaten them badly. In the case of predators, they essentially profit from the fear of the prey animals.
When the predatory animals overpower their fear, they can easily defeat their predators. Similarly, when the predators succumb to fear due to the aggressive and charging prey species, they have to concede defeat.
The message is that to be successful, one has to enhance the ‘profit’. Once the measure for profits is ensured, one must overcome from the syndrome of fear.
In corporate, most people fear loosing the job and hence work efficiently. Most bosses do exploit and profit immensely from such ‘fear’ of their subordinates. If the employees focus more of ‘profit’ and then work efficiently, the essence of success would be different. The bliss and happiness of success would be higher when one finds profit not from fear but from fearlessness. Fear should not trigger one to go after profit but ‘no fear’ state should be the starting point. The moment one misses the message and become fearful, another set of people would emerge to profit from your fear.
Instead of fear, confidence should be the domain from which people should operate. Neither you be a ‘prey species’ nor a ‘predator’ where your profit comes from ‘fear’ or ‘exploitation of fear’.
Unfortunately, most people seldom understand the undercurrent fear. To over power fear, people adventure many things just to end up ‘most scared’.
Do not be after ‘profit’ due to fear and let not your profit come from the fear of others. In most instances, people may count only the ‘profit’ as their state of being. As a result, even with success, one may have to remain scared as they are successful because they are scared.
