Hyderabad: Expressing satisfaction over the success of roundtable conference organized in the national capital, the Telangana JAC has now focused its attention on its next course of action to continue to mount pressure on the Congress party to take an early decision on Telangana.

Briefing media here on Saturday, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram said that a crucial meeting of the steering committee would he held on Tuesday to prepare a strong and effective action plan. He said the JAC will continue its relentless fight till it achieves a separate state.

He briefed the JAC members about the meetings he and other members of the delegation had in New Delhi with leaders of political parties. He said though they had made an attempt to meet UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi it did not materialise. They would soon meet the President and the Prime Minister and will urge them to settle the issue once and for all.

Reacting to sharp criticism from political parties over the meeting they had with Congress leaders in New Delhi, Kodandaram said they met key Congress leaders since the national party was leading the UPA Government at the Centre and it is the UPA government which has to bring a Bill in Parliament.

He said, "Whatever T JAC does, it would be to achieve Telangana and nobody can question our intentions. There is nothing wrong in meeting Congress leaders. The Congress had promised separate T state and once again it is sending indications that it had almost made up its mind to grant separate T state, he remarked.
