Telangana Party Over; Focus Shifts to SeemandhraHyderabad: With the second phase of elections scheduled to take place on May 7 in Seemandhra region, the top leadership of BJP and Congress have chalked out plans for meetings in various parts of residuary state.

The BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will hold a series of election rallies in the Seemandhra region along with the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and actor and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan. Modi will arrive in the temple town of Tirupati on April 30 and will address public meeting in the evening. After overnight stay at Tirupati, on May 1, he will have darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala and will later visit Srikalakashti temple. From then on, he will hold a series of public meetings at Madanapalle, Nellore, Guntur and Bhimavaram.

At Bhimavaram, senior Congress leader and former minister K.S. Rao will formally be inducted by him into the BJP. From there he will visit Vizag and hold a meeting, according to BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar. Modi has visited Kashi Vishwanath and Puri Jagannath temples so far as part of his election campaign across the country and would now offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirupati, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan will take part in the meetings to be addressed by Modi. Elections to 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats in Seemandhra will be held on May 7. Meanwhile, the AP Congress Committee has also chalked out its plans for meetings in Seemandhra. Sources close to the APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy said AICC president Sonia Gandhi is likely to address three meetings at Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Hindupur. Sonia Gandhi is likely to address here first meeting at Guntur on May 2. The schedule for Rahul Gandhi is not yet drawn up, the sources said.
