Family members of 76-year-old Katamaneni Chittemma donated her eyes to the Swecha Gora Eye Bank on Monday after her death. Bank’s director Dr G Samaram, who collected the eyes, thanked the family members for the gesture. He said that Chittemma’s eyes would be grafted to two blind people. He appealed to people to donate eyes after death as it would give a new life to the blind and help in eradication of blindness across the country.
