NREDCAP to involve students in energy conservation
New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (NREDCAP), in association with the PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, will organise Energy Conservation Week from December 14.
New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (NREDCAP), in association with the PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, will organise Energy Conservation Week from December 14. The aim of the week-long celebrations is to involve students in spreading the message of energy conservation among the public.
Addressing newsmen on Wednesday, NREDCAP district manager K Srinivasa Rao said that competitions in essay writing, elocution and energy conservation models for college students of Krishna district would be held on December 19. Cash awards of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 will be presented to the top three students. The number of entries from each college for the competitions is restricted to four or five. Models on energy conservation and harnessing of non-conventional sources of energy will be displayed in an exhibition on December 19.
“At the exhibition, people can get their names registered for subsidy to purchase solar energy equipment,” Srinivasa said.
