NSS volunteers rally for cancer awareness

NSS volunteers of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science held a cancer awareness rally at Yanamalakuduru on Monday. The NSS volunteers took up a weeklong campaign to curb the incidence of the dreaded disease. In this regard, they are organising several programmes to educate people about the symptoms of cancer, preventive measures and treatment. The campaign is being organised under the supervision of NSS programme officer and mathematics department head P Babu Rao. College principal MVN Padma Rao said, “The Cancer Awareness Week will conclude on January 23. More programmes will be organised in the next four days for emphasising the need for early diagnosis of cancer to save the lives of patients.”
