Bajaj Auto is all set to set all new benchmarks in the performance bike segment with the launch of the new age Pulsars. The company unveiled the Pulsar Adventure Sport series with Pulsar AS 200 and Pulsar AS150 together with the fully faired track focused Pulsar RS 200 at an event held in Taj Krishna on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event Sumeet Narang, Vice President - Marketing, Bajaj Auto Ltd, said “The new age Pulsars showcases the R&D prowess of the company. We have constantly innovated to ensure that the Pulsars stayed well ahead-on performance, technology, styling and class leading features. The development of range of such differentiated superlative products within a short span of time is a rare phenomenon in this industry.”

He continued, “Today Pulsar range sells more than 55,000 units every month in the domestic sports motorcycle market with a leadership market share of 43 per cent making it India’s no.1 Sports bike for 14 years in a row. We are confident that this new offerings will enable us to take that share closer to 50 per cent.” With Pulsar NS, AS and RS range, Bajaj is catering to all the possible needs of customer who is looking for a sporty, stylish and powerful bike.

Pulsar Adventure Sports

The Pulsar Adventure Sport comes with a distinct style combining a muscular fairing and extended visor, both of which help it tackle long distance riding and wind resistance with aplomb. It is mounted on a perimeter frame with a monoshock absorber to provide rock solid stability and control at high speeds. Both Adventure Sports bikes come with projector headlamps which is another first in the segment.

The Pulsar AS 200 comes with a 199.5 cc Triple Spark, 4-Valve Liquid Cooled DTSi engine, while the Pulsar AS 150 will run on a 149.5 cc Twin Spark, 4-Valve Air Cooled DTSi engine. The AS200 and AS150 belt out 23.5 and 17 PS of power respectively which makes them more powerful than any other competition bike in their category.

“The Pulsar Adventure Sport series will be a delight to young bikers who want to fulfil their need of daily city riding, while at the same time desire to explore our vast and incredible outdoors over the weekends. These new generation bikes are a winning combination of easy handling in traffic and raw brutal power when one needs it,” Sumeet added. The AS 200 is priced at Rs. 93,287 and the AS 150 at Rs 80,512 ex-showroom Telangana which the same would be Rs 93, 472 and Rs. 80,698 at ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh. They are available in three colours – Red, Black and Blue.

Pulsar Racing Sports

Talking about the RS200, the vehicle is equipped with a 4-valve Triple Spark DTSi Engine with Fuel Injection and Liquid Cooling. It has a 300mm disc brakes with ABS. The Pulsar RS 200 unleashes 24.5 PS power and achieves a top speed of 141 km/hr and redlines at 11,000 rpm.

The new Pulsar is in a position to completely change the dynamics and expectations in the Super-sport segment. The Pulsar RS 200 starts at Rs 1, 20,204 (non-ABS version) and comes at Rs 1, 32,412 (ABS version) ex-showroom Telangana, while Rs 1, 20,390 (non-ABS version) and Rs 1, 32,598 (ABS version) ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh.
