Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya proposed that the old Gandhi Hospital land could be handed over to SCR to increase the circulating area so that the long-pending project of developing the station on international standards is taken up. Dattatreya said that by next year the pending works of Wagon Coach Factory at Kazipet would also be taken up.

The union government has earmarked one lakh crore rupees for making India digitised. Later, PK Srivastava interacted with rail passengers and sought their opinion on services such as cleanliness, catering and security being rendered by SCR.
