We are slowly adapting to the culture of experimenting with our fluid appetite and more often than not we end up spending a bomb on a variety of cocktails and mocktails. Restaurants and cafes these days sell a plethora of drinks under erotic names and inviting pictures.

However, when it comes to treating the guests at home on a hot sunny day all we prefer to do is pour a Coke or a Thums-Up in a crystal glass when we can actually make something at home at one fourth of the price and very little effort. Here is a list of easy to make summer drinks which we can try at home and add a personal touch to what we bring to the table.

PUDINA FIZZ

Ingredients:

• Mint leaves (30-40)

• Raw Mango Crush

• Lemon Slices (4)

• Soda (2 Cups)

• Rock Salt

• Crushed Ice

Method: Crush some mint leaves and lemon with the help of a rolling pin or any crusher available in your kitchen. Add two tablespoons of raw mango crush and rock salt to this mixture of crushed mint leaves and lemon slices in a glass. Drop the crushed ice into the glass as required and fill the glass with sparkling water /soda. Stir the ingredients a little and serve it cold.

KESAR DELIGHT

Ingredients:

• Saffron soaked in water till the colour of water changes to yellowish orange.

• Lemon Murabba ( 1 Tablespoon)

• Honey ( 60 ml)

Method: Blend the saffron water, murabba and honey with the help of a blender and pour the essence into the glass. Garnish it with saffron shreds and a slice of honey tucked to the edge of the glass. Enjoy it in cold water or at room temperature.

NAWABI LASSI

Ingredients:

• Coconut Water (30 ml)

• Curd (3 Scoop)

• Soda(1 Cup)

• Sugar: 1 tsp

• Ice Cubes

Method: Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend it for a minute or two. Serve it in earthen glass if you have and garnish it with nuts if you like.
