Zoo hikes price of entry ticket, safari
People visiting the zoo now will have to cough up a few bucks more starting June 12. The Nehru Zoological Park has increased the entry fee apart from raising the fee for the use of battery operated vehicles and safari ride tickets. The entry fee for adults has been hiked from Rs 20 to Rs 30. For a child it is Rs 15. The price for a ride in the battery operated vehicles is Rs 50 and for children it is Rs 30.

The safari ride has also been increased by Rs 10. Now a safari ride for an adult will cost Rs 40 and for a child it is Rs 20. The decision was taken by the Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana on May 14 under the chairman ship of Jogu Ramanna, Minister for Environment , Forests , Science and Technology, (EFS&T), Telangana State and P K Sharma, Chief Wildlife Warden and PCCF wildlife , Telangana State.
