ReSound, manufacturer of advanced and innovative hearing solutions, has launched LiNX2, the world’s first full family of smart hearing aids in the city.Equipped with the latest and most advanced version of surround sound, the hearing aids use advanced technology to produce sound that is true-to-life, as if being produced by the human ear.

The Spatial Sensefeature gives users a natural sense of where sounds are coming from and helps them form a detailed sound picture of their surroundings. At the same time, Binaural Directionality II feature ensures that users can understand every word of the conversation even in noisy environments.

“For the hearing challenged people, detection of the source is extremely important for a realistic understanding of sound and speech. Surround Sound by ReSound enhances the listener's ability to identify the location or origin of a detected sound, understand its direction and distance without compromising on its quality,” said Neha Yadav, chief audiologist, HNR Speech and Hearing Clinic, Hyderabad.

Wearers can utilise their hearing aids as high-quality Bluetooth stereo headphones to talk on phone and listen to music. In addition, users can also make use of ReSound’s TV accessory to stream stereo sound from the television without having to use an additional remote control, accessory or bulky pendant.

“The added wireless technology feature allows users to stream sound from their Android phones, iPhone, iPad, iPod or TVs at an audio level that is suitable to them. Unwanted noise is removed to provide sound that is more natural and more comfortable,” added Yadav.

Hearing loss has become a major health issue. Hyderabad alone has witnessed a rapid increase in the number of people suffering from hearing disability over the past year. With the help of a hearing aid, approximately 95 per cent of the people with this disability can regain their sense of hearing.
