Writer and personality development trainer Yandamoori Veerendranath advised students to focus on learning employability skills soon after getting into college rather than before appearing for campus recruitment drives and job interviews.

Delivering a talk on ‘Ten Tips to Develop Personality, Get a Rank and Win in Interviews’ at PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science on Friday, he dwelt on concentration and personality development.
“Students should begin their day with a smile by watching themselves in a mirror for five seconds. A five-minute prayer before beginning studies will help them a lot. They need to focus on English conversational skills to get better placements,’’ he said.
College principal MVN Padma Rao said the conduct of workshops and seminars on personality development would help students get the much needed exposure to face challenges in real life boldly.
Later, Veerendranath and college director Vemuri Babu Rao released a book titled ‘Get Set Go’ on employability skills. College placement officer K Sridhar, career guidance cell coordinator K Bhargavi and faculty members were present.
