The Bikerhood Tour, a nationwide venture that aims to unite biking groups across the country for social awareness, held its recent 'Bikerhood Meet' in Hyderabad. And as a part of it, they have come up with a campaign called "Yes to Lights, No to Noise", for which biking groups in Hyderabad and Pune have taken the initiative to spread awareness on the fatalities of firecrackers and noise pollution on wildlife, homeless, and even domesticated animals.

Talking about their mission and vision, Jai Bharathi from the Bikerhood team said, "We are endeavouring to encourage bikers in India to venture into new destinations and while doing so, to give back to Mother Nature and provide support to wildlife and animal care NGOs, as well as educating orphan children in order to improve their quality of life and thus indirectly making a positive long-term impact on the overall state of living in our country.

This is a completely non-profit event, for which we are inviting both groups and solo riders to join in and participate to help make a positive change. We will also be launching a web portal that will link all groups and riders that have attended these Bikerhood Meets, which will feature a virtual leaderboard that can promote healthy competition between different chapters of different groups all over the nation, who are all endeavouring to organise rides for social awareness and change.”

With two more stops on the Bikerhood Tour to go - Bangalore on November 15 and Pune on November 29, this community hopes that the nationwide movement will only continue to grow and flourish, until every biker in India associate themselves with the values of safety, responsibility and compassion for all living beings.
