Jaitley got his daughter appointed as Hockey India lawyer

Former top cop KPS Gill has sent a complaint to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

India Today reports that the former top cop has alleged that Jaitley got his daughter Sonali as the counsel of Hockey India when he was member in the advisory body and had facilitated huge amounts as her fee.

Hockey India President Narinder Batra Gill's allegations that Jaitley has a "conflict of interest" in the national hockey body, saying it was just a "creation" by the banned IHF chief to settle scores with him.

Batra admitted that Jaitley's daughter Sonali fought one of the the many cases for HI for a very brief period but just as a professional and it was unfair to attach any motives.

In another report, Jaitley said politicians across the board should remember that "ingratitude is a political sin" and instructions taken by any officer needs to be protected rather than being made an instrument during "political slugfest".

The Minister was replying to a question by former Intelligence Bureau officer Rajender Kumar who was at the centre of a controversy in the alleged fake encounter killing of Ishrat Jehan, alleged terror operative, and her friends in Gujarat in 2004.
