1.5 cr released for road development

The State government has released funds worth Rs 1.5 crore for the expansion and developing the four lane road as a junction at the Mahabubabad crossroads.

Khammam: The State government has released funds worth Rs 1.5 crore for the expansion and developing the four-lane road as a junction at the Mahabubabad crossroads.

Apart from this, highways would be expanded at Ilendu crossroads and NTR circle and a circle would also be constructed and it would be expanded into a big junction.

The Roads and Buildings Department officials made a proposal to expand the highway near the Khammam (Rural) mandal which is highly congested.
They also said that the four lanes near the Naidupeta-Mahbubabad Road, should be expanded into a junction to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao approved the proposals and decided to sanction funds for the purpose.
