Veerender Khaja sets the pace
Dr Veerender Khaja won the preliminary show jumping event on the inaugural day of the National Equestrian championship at Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club in Aziz Nagar here on Wednesday Around 53 horses participated in the preliminary show jumping, which was held over two rounds.

Dr Veerender Khaja took the first place while Hyderabad rider Allan Shaun Michael and Captain Arati Rawat of Army Service Corps were joint second while third was shared by Sepoy Kaushik and Sepoy Satendra Kumar of ASC.
Results: Jumping puissance for Grade I and Grade II horses: 1. Sehaj Singh Virk, 2. Lt Col Sandeep Dewan(HEC), 3.Nitin Gupta(ECE); Preliminary show jumping: 1. Dr Veerender Khaja, 2.
