Artists’ Keerthi Kankipati and Uday Bhaskar Pendem works show illusions in reality of life

The works are extreme photographic reality. Both the artists’ paintings create a sense of tangible solidity and substantial presence of substances that are familiar to all.

One can say that the paintings are simple and modest. Keerthi makes an effort to recapture genuine emotions through her desired photographic images, framing and reframing them with thick layers of opaque hues - cows and buffalos in her paintings show her apprehension to the tainted environments caused by growing urbanisation in the city.

Cows at leisure but marooned on an arid landscape, embody the absence of lush greens that are encroached by the real estate.
