City-based Citizens Specialty Hospital presented a live demonstration of multi-vessel angioplasty case at the three-day TCT Next Conference, which was held in Delhi.

The event, which was held in connotation with Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), USA and FACTS (Fraternity of Advanced Cardiovascular Techniques and Solutions) Foundation, was attended by more than 1,000 leading cardiac experts from India and South-East Asia.

As a part of the conference, the cardiology team at Citizens Specialty Hospital led by Dr A Sreenivas Kumar and Dr Gokul Reddy conducted the live demonstration. The patient was found to have three-vessel disease and weak heart. She needed a bypass surgery which was very risky considering her health and heart conditions.

The team decided for a multiple stent bifurcation technique to treat her. It took two hours to complete the surgery and the patient was discharged next day. The surgery was streamed live in the TCT event Delhi for an hour and performing doctors explained the procedures to the attendees.

Dr A Sreenivas Kumar, Chairman – Department of Cardio Vascular Sciences, Citizens Specialty Hospital and Founding Course Director - TCT INDIA said, “The medical science is ever changing.
