As part of the ‘National Nutrition Week’, which was celebrated from September 1 to 7, Care Outpatient Centre and Care College of Nursing organised an awareness programme in Banjara Hills on Wednesday. The event was themed ‘Healthy eating choices for a healthier nation’.

As part of the ‘National Nutrition Week’, which was celebrated from September 1 to 7, Care Outpatient Centre and Care College of Nursing organised an awareness programme in Banjara Hills on Wednesday. The event was themed ‘Healthy eating choices for a healthier nation’.

On the occasion, students of the Nursing College made an exhibition stall and conveyed the message to people about how they can be aware of their food groups and balanced diet from which they can get good nutritious things.

Jeena Cherian, Principal College of Nursing said, “The first year BSc Nursing students organised this exhibition focused on the theme of the year "Life Cycle Approach for Better Nutrition".

They prepared posters, charts and models to convey the theme. More than 300 members attended the exhibition including consultants, staff, patients and their family members. Efforts made by the students faculty members and administration were highly appreciated.”

Amit Kapoor, DGM, CARE Outpatient Centre informed that the objective of the ‘National Nutrition Week’ is to enhance the nutritional practice awareness among people of the community through adaptable training, timely education, seminars, different competitions, road shows and many other campaigns and to make a healthy nation.
