AISF holds dharna demanding fee reimbursement

​Kamareddy: Students belonging to the All India Students Federation (AISF) held a protest rally till the Collectorate in the town on Wednesday and sat on a dharna demanding the State government to release scholarships and fee reimbursements to the students. In this connection, they submitted a memorandum to the District Collector N Satyanarayana.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, AISF State committee member Ch Bhanu Prasad said that it was unfortunate that the government failed to release the fee reimbursement and scholarship amounts to the students though more than two years have passed since the formation of the Telangana State. It was sad that the Chief Minister was taking the students for a ride, he lamented.

Bhanu Prasad said that the managements of private and engineering colleges confiscated the certificates of the students for not paying the fee and harassing them. He alleged that the college authorities were playing with the lives of the students.

The TRS government was spending crores of Rupees on strengthening the police force but neglecting the welfare of the students. He warned that the AISF leaders would intensify their agitation if the government remains indifferent. Several AISF leaders and activists were present in the occasion.
