Hanamkonda: BJP Warangal urban district president Rao Padma has opposed the reported shifting of Regional Joint Director (RJD) I &PR office to Hyderabad.

She along with a large group of BJP activists has staged demonstration at the office premises in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. She found fault with the government’s move of shifting the office with just a verbal order.

The State government has already shifted the office of Regional Director (Medical and Health) located in Warangal to Hyderabad and was ordered shifting of Tyre Retreading Shop (TRS) situated at Hunter Road in Hanamkonda to Karimnagar.

Instead of setting new industries and offices in Warangal, the second biggest city in Telangana, the government was shifting existing ones to other places one after another. “If the government acts like this how the city could be developed,” lamented Padma.

The Union government with an objective of developing the city has selected Warangal for Smart City Mission and Heritage City and encouraging software companies to set up branches here.

But the State government was acting in a detrimental manner in terms of the city development, she added. BJP leaders G Yadagiri Rao, Rao Amarender Reddy, K Santhosh Reddy, S Jagadishwar, Pashikanti Rajendra Prasad and others were present.
