Wedding bells for Aashka Goradia

Actress Aashka, who is essaying the role of Avantika in the show ‘Naagin 2’ on Colors TV, has announced that she is all set to tie the nuptial knot with her longtime boyfriend Brent Gobble. The model-turned-actress Aashka recently got engaged last Christmas and is set to take plunge this year.

The couple has decided to have an Indian winter wedding by the end of 2017. When we quizzed Aashka she confirmed saying, “We wanted to get married in India and the winters in our country are lovely. Brent’s entire family will be flying down from the US to be with us on this special day.

December is a special month for us as that’s when Brent had popped the question and hence we zeroed in on December for our wedding as well.” Ask the actress about whether it will be a traditional Indian wedding and she says, “Well of course.

Brent and his family love the Indian culture and hence we have decided to get married here. The preparations have already started and both our families are extremely excited and looking forward to the special day.”

You have announced to have a winter wedding in India, Is this your fairy tale wedding, you always dreamt of?
I think it’s going to be far better than the fairy tale wedding I had dreamt of. I am looking at both of our families planning this special day. I feel blessed that there are so many people in our lives who are going to be with us on this day and all that love and the blessings make it more than a dream come true. It’s not only the wedding but my entire courtship and each day that I live which is larger than any fairy tale that I had dreamt of.

What is the most exciting part about your love and wedding journey?
The entire journey has been exciting! From meeting in Vegas to him moving across continents to be with me, to him proposing to me on Christmas in front of his family - every moment has been special and exciting!

Has Brent started preparing to become one quintessential Indian groom and understanding Indian rituals?
He understands our culture and the depth of our culture way beyond I had ever imagined him to. He's extremely well read and is constantly learning more and more about our culture.

Is it going to be a close knit affair or we'll see industry coming together?
We haven't decided yet as the planning has just started, but yes for me, my family and close friends matter the most!

You are currently doing a very successful show, what are your career plans post-wedding?
I am lucky to have the support of my partner, who believes in me taking my career forward and hence of course I am hoping to continue doing more exciting work in the future.
