It may recalled that the late Ganga Reddy passes away in Hyderabad on Monday at the age of 84 years. 

Nizamabad: Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Minister for Endowments and Housing A Indrakaran Reddy and District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana and others paid glowing tributes to the former Nizamabad MP Keshpalli Ganga Reddy here on Tuesday. It may recalled that the late Ganga Reddy passes away in Hyderabad on Monday at the age of 84 years.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that the late Ganga Reddy did yeomen service to the people of the district by taking up several welfare and developmental programmes while he was an MLA and an MP. Besides, he also played a key role in the Telangana Statehood movement, he added.

He consoled the members of the bereaved family after placing a wreath on his body at his residence in Subhashnagar. Recalling his association with the late Ganga Reddy, Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy said both of them were elected to Lok Sabha in the year 1991 and worked together tirelessly for the development of the district.

He said that Ganga Reddy was elected as an MLA once and as a member of the Lok Sabha thrice and was responsible for bringing developmental projects to Nizamabad. The void caused by his death cannot be filled easily, he added.

District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana placed a wreath on the body of Ganga Reddy on behalf of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Later, the mortal remains of the late Ganga Reddy were taken out in a procession and consigned to the flames at his farm house in Mentrazpalli.

ZP chairman D Raju, MLAs Bajireddy Govardhan and Shinde, Joint Collector a Ravinder Reddy, Assistant Collector Rahul Raj, RDO Vinod Kumar and others were present.
