A Maoist, Sodi Nandhu, of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh surrendered to the police here on Thursday. Speaking to media persons, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt said Nandhu was an active member of the Maoist Party.

“He worked with senior Maoist Sukhadev and was a Dalam member from 2009 to 2017. Constant efforts have been made to convince him to join the main stream society,” the ACP added.
