OU Arts College celebrates platinum jubilee
University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Osmania University (OU), celebrated 75 years of its inception on Thursday Former principal of the Arts College Prof. Shiv K Kumar appealed to the faculty and students to restore the past glory of the Arts College. \\ Another former principal of Arts College Prof. KS Upadhyaya extolled the students to realise their potential for excellence which the Arts College symbolises.

Former Vice-Chancellor of OU Prof. T Tirupathi Rao, recollected his long and transforming association with the Arts College. He urged the students to not indulge in strikes and protests and concentrate on their academics and enhance their skills. To mark the occasion, a yearlong ‘Platinum Jubilee Celebrations’ was flagged off. Academicians, administrators, former principals, students and alumni attended the function.
Principal Prof. T Krishna Rao of the college thanked the 7th Nizam of Hyderabad for his contribution for the establishment of this historical monument. Seminars, symposiums, heritage run and endowment lectures have been arranged as part of the year long platinum jubilee celebrations of the college.
