Human beings are addictive and are bent towards intoxications by nature. So, the question is about stopping or refraining from these outside ‘highs’ and to gravitate inwards for inner ones and move towards“positive habits”. Happiness and bliss is something we all feel in our in ner realms; the former is our natural state and the latter is inherent in us.
Being relaxed is a natural inner state, no ‘outside chemical/substance’ can be an alternative to it
Human beings are addictive and are bent towards intoxications by nature. So, the question is about stopping or refraining from these outside ‘highs’ and to gravitate inwards for inner ones and move towards“positive habits”. Happiness and bliss is something we all feel in our in ner realms; the former is our natural state and the latter is inherent in us.
So, why the external source? Are we not able to find it or unable to unlock it or we are not aware that it is within us? These are the questions that normally arise, and if we cannot find it within ourselves, then the tendency will be to look for it on the outside, through ‘abusive’ ways and means.
Here awareness makes the difference.Otherwise, one starts using and abusing outside substances like drugs to find bliss and relaxedness, these outside substances are addictive, self-destructing and disturbs the more potential inner alchemy.
Once, these outside substances entera body, it will stop producing it inside and will lose the potential of gaining awareness leading to dependence. And people tend to experience withdrawal symptoms, so the person will feel intense craving. This craving can be so powerful as to be agonising. It would be a real inner revolution to realise that ecstasy components are already inside of us.
All that is needed is awareness and preparedness to find ways of tapping into them. This is where the subject of positive habits and search of healthy highs and artistic way of living comes into play. Creatingyour own inner orchestra. The master key to open all bliss states is meditation.
Another close runner-up is hanging out in nature, try ing to be one and conversing with it, spending time sitting idle exploring and conversing with one’s own inner self.
Aspects like enjoying the right food, writing, reading, musichelp immeasurably. Creativity nurtures positive habits, as it is through our creative spark that we give birth to ourselves in new ways again and again. We become the creators of our own inner universe through the various form of art.
Depending on chemicals and outside substances the body will remain with them losing all its consciousness. In fact, you will become so dependent on it that you will lose the charm of life, and the drug experience alone will become the centre of it.
If you move through meditation and yoga, through the inner changes in the chemistry of the body, you will never be dependent and you will be able to go beyond be an independent individual with inner bliss unlocked. As spiritual master Osho puts it “Always choose a higher thing. Whenever there is a possibility, and you want to choose, choose a higher thing”.
