Hyderabad: BC Welfare Association national president R Krishnaiah launched ‘Haastalla Bata’ programme organised by BC Women Association on Sunday. Association vice-president Gujju Krishna released the pamphlet. Krishnaiah called to join students of poor families in BC/SC/ST hostels.

He said that hostel students may become collector/judges without any expenditure. Women Association representatives said that they launched the programme to demand basic facilities in the hostels. They also demanded shifting of hostels from rented to own buildings. BC Women Association state vice-president Lakshmi, general secretaries Jayanthi and Varalakshmi, secretary Renuka, BC Youth Association state president Neelam Venkatesh were present.
