Malkajgiri: There are 25 Anganwadi Schools under Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) in Medchal District. Each school equipped with one teacher, one Aaya and 15 students.

The staff not getting their salaries since two months and they are paying building rents from their own pocket. Teachers Ramadevi, Lalitha and Swapna lamented that students are studying in the school in dark, without fans and lights. When complained to the officials they put the blame on lack of funds, the teachers said. They alleged that since two years there is no LPG supply. The teachers said that with the help of local residents they are fulfilling domestic gas needs. They said they are supplying mid day meals to 25 members including 10 lactating mothers.
They lamented that as there is no supply of new textbooks, they are teaching students with old ones. Representative of The Hans India assured them to bring their problems to Minister for Education Kadiyam Srihari’s notice. The staff of the Anganwadi schools requested concerned authorities to clear their long pending dues at the earliest.
