Hyderabad: The Revolutionary Democratic Front (RDF) strongly condemned the police raid carried out by police and intelligence officials on the residence of its joint secretary GN Saibaba, who is also a professor at Delhi University. A statement released by Varavara Rao and Raj Kishore, the President and General Secretary of RDF respectively, suspected foul play by police to implicate Saibaba by implanting incriminating material. Denouncing the act, they said, “Saibaba was being framed through media trials and allegations linking him with Maoist. This was strongly denied by him and many civil rights activists”. The RDF leaders said that that since Saibaba is a forthright democratic rights activist and spoke against anti-people policies of the State and also Green Hunt, he was subjected to this sort of intimidation.
