The rising costs of healthcare for children , coupled with limited resources for health in many schools, particularly in the underprivileged sections of society, has made quality healthcare for children inaccessible for many. To offer a solution to this predicament, Lotus Children’s Hospitals group unveiled an exclusive ‘Kiddie First Health Access Card’. The card was launched by Sania Mirza at its Lakdikapul branch. With the launch of this card, the group envisions free access by most children to advanced healthcare at its two centers.

Dr VSV Prasad, CEO, Lotus Children's Hospital, said, “During the growing years, children are vulnerable to many health hazards, particularly under five years. Many hospital visits for outpatient care and sometimes inpatient admission are common in the first few years of the child’s growth. The cost of providing care can sometimes escalate depending on the particular health problem of the child. For many families, coping with a medical emergency for their child is a stressful experience, sometimes difficult to handle.

Coupled with it is an unexpected financial burden to the family.” Tennis star Sania Mirza said, “This is one-of-a-kind initiative concerning the growing cost of health treatments. Kids are more prone to diseases and this kind of initiative will help parents be tension free when their children fall ill.”
