Karimnagar: Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu, accompanied by District Collector M Veera Brahmaiah, inaugurated `Grama Darshini’ programme at Kamanpur (mandal) in Karimnagar district on Thursday.
Mr Veera Brahmaiah, addressing a gathering on the occasion, said that the programme was aimed to verify whether welfare schemes launched by the Central and State governments were reaching to the people in the villages. Accordingly, mandal level officials of various departments would visit a village in the mandal and interact with the people. The officials would verify that the schemes were implemented properly or not. The programme would be held on every Thursday. The verification would continue till majority of villages are covered.
Minister D Sridhar Babu has said that the governments at Centre and State have been striving for the welfare of the people both in rural and urban areas. Kamanpur Sarpanch Satyanarayana, Mandal Special Officer Halim, Manthani RDO Ayeshakhan, Tahsildar Sattaiah, RWS AE Satish and other officials were present.
