Say the unit cannot go ahead with shooting without getting permission from the police department

Nalgonda: The shooting of the movie, Khayyum Bhai, which is being made against the back drop of slain gangster Nayeemuddin, was cancelled by unit numbers after police objected to it due to lack of permission.

On Monday, the unit members of the movie came to Nalgonda and the director of movie, Barath Nandan, shot the murder episode of former APCLC leader late Azam Ali near Ambedkar Bhavan, near Nalgonda Bus stand, where Ali was killed brutally by Nayeem followers.

Co-brother of Azam Ali, Zafar Ali essayed the role of Azam Ali. While movie’s producer, Rambabu, plays Nayeem, Shiva-fame Ram Naresh and Banerjee play as Nayeem’s followers.

Though local police helped the film unit in regulating traffic during the shoot, some of the traders, who did not know about the shooting, dialed police and informed that unknown gang members were roaming with sickles near bus stand. Shocked Special Branch police rushed to the spot and checked the sickles used in shooting and took their photographs.

Later, the unit shifted to Baig Function Hall near Ramnagar Park to carry out the shooting of former Maoist and TRS leader late Konapurui Ramulu murder episode. When the unit was going to start the shooting, all of a sudden local Two Town police met Bharath Nandan and Rambabu and informed them that their permission application for shooting was not yet approved and directed them to pack up. Movie unit followed the instructions of the police.

Two Town SI Prasad informed that they have no objections to the movie, but advised the unit members to shoot the film after approval of their permission letter.

It is learnt that movie unit would resume shooting of pending episodes in Nalgonda within a couple of days after getting proper permissions. Earlier, director Bharath Nandan, a native of K.Samudram of Warangal district, directed Maisamma IPS, Telangana and Ambedkar movies.
