Two washed away in Godavari during Ganesh immersion
Even as the officials made elaborate arrangements for Ganesh immersion, two youth belonging to Padamata Narsapuram in Julurupadu mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, got washed away in River Godavari during the immersion at Parnasala, near here, in the last 24 hours.

For the last four days, 2,012 Ganesh idols were immersed in Godavari River. Thousands of the idols made a beeline here from the adjoining districts of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Karimnagar and Khammam.
Three heavy duty cranes and four boats were kept ready for the purpose. Personnel are working in shift system to take care of the immersion. Bhadradri-Kothagudem SP Amber Kishore Jha, Bhadrachalam ASP Sunil Dutt, revenue divisional officer Sivanarayana Reddy on Tuesday night inspected the Ganesh idol immersion going on in the temple town.
