Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that in addition to poll promises, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has launched many programmes for the welfare of poor and needy.

The Minister along with District collector Surendra Mohan on Wednesday distributed cheques to 98 beneficiaries of Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi, during a programme held at Collectorate.
Later addressing the beneficiaries, the Minister stated that the State government had introduced several programmes for the welfare of women to support them in all aspects. He informed that so far 1,209 women have been benefited under the schemes.
He refuted the allegations of opposition parties on government’s functioning and assured that plans were afoot to provide irrigation for two crops. The Minister advised pregnant women to go for institutional deliveries at government hospitals and avail the benefits like KCR Kits to ensure hygienic nutritious food to the newborn and also to the mother.
