Officials told to make Suryapet ODF by March next

District Collector Surendra Mohan directed the officials concerned to make Suryapet as open defecation-free by March 2018 and ordered them to complete the target of 65,000 individual toilets at the earliest. On Thursday, he attended as the chief guest at the district women federation and DRDO staff review meeting held at Suryapet.

Surendra Mohan urged the women groups to protect the saplings planted in the villages and directed them to run nurseries to provide saplings for Haritha Haram programme. Stri Nidhi Regional Manager Venkata Ramana, Project Manager Balaswamy, APMs Ratnaiah, Raju, and others participated.
